Bigfoot Asia Pacific Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization funded by Bigfoot Global Solutions Inc. Its main focus is to improve, through the use of new technology, the quality of education of public school children in underprivileged areas in the Philippines.

To date, with a total funding of about US$ 0.7 million, the foundation has built 22 public school-based computer learning centers in far-flung areas of Cebu and other parts of Central Visayas; provided them with computers and computer books, and gave training to teachers from 33 public school beneficiaries in Cebu and the nearby province of Negros Oriental.

The foundation is also funding the college education of poor but deserving students through scholarship grants.Early this year, the foundation awarded US$ 27,000 each to the Department of Education-Cebu City and Cebu province to establish their respective computer training centers for teachers.

On March 7, 2006, in the minutes of the 8th Regular Session of Cebu Province, Resolution 1143-2006, the Cebu Provincial Government thanked the foundation for its invaluable support and contribution give to the community.


Awards and Recognition

For having institutionalized its corporate value of returning to the community what the community needs or deserves, Bigfoot Asia Pacific Foundation had been conferred the following awards and recognition:

MAYOR’S SPECIAL AWARDEE
For the commitment and invaluable support in the development and progress of Cebu City.
Given on February 24, 2004 during the 67th Charter Day celebration.

AWARD OF APPRECIATION
For the construction of 22 IT Learning Centers, donation of computer units, IT equipment and textbooks.
Given by the Dept. of Education, Region VII, Central Visayas on December 28, 2004 at Ecotech, Cebu City

AWARD OF APPRECIATION
In grateful and sincere recognition for the sterling support to the Dept. of Education, Division of Cebu province, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of its various programs and projects leading to the attainment of improved quality of basic education in the province of Cebu.
